Food, faith, friends and laughter are hallmarks of a vibrant life.
One of the church’s earliest leaders, Paul, described the church as the Body of Christ. More than a powerful metaphor, Paul was getting at the mystery of the Crucified and Resurrected Jesus’ presence in the family of faith. Empowered by his Holy Spirit, the church becomes the hands and feet, the heart and mind of Christ Jesus, called to live his life in the world.
It’s a big mission. So we gather often simply to enjoy one another’s fellowship. Together we’re able to practice what it means to be a community of forgiveness, generosity and grace. We share one another’s burdens and we rejoice in one another’s joys.
