Heart of the Rockies connects with students in various ways by sending care packages to students and by hosting dinner and Nooma nights for local college students. Dinner and a Nooma is an evening event focused on a good free meal and one or two videos from Rob Bell. The discussion following is always interesting and engaging. Students have said these dinners help them to create space for God in their hectic lives. Call the office to find out when the next Dinner and a Nooma will be.
The Geller Center For Spiritual Development is considered a satellite of our congregation as they provide programs and spiritual guidance to those attending CSU and Front Range Community College. Reverend Peggy Christiansen is the Chaplain and Executive Director for the Geller Center and has served in incredible ways by serving good home cooking in Wednesday Nights, leading other weekly programs, a residential internship program and yearly international mission experiences. The Geller Center is located just north of CSU on Howes Street. Their website is http://lamar.colostate.edu/~ucm/index.html .
