Habitat for Humanity Super Weekend

Have you been thinking about ways to support Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity? We're dedicating one weekend next month to our long-time mission partner, which provides affordable home ownership opportunities for folks right here in Fort Collins. Read more about what's happening on September 19-20. If you would like to build, help with lunch, or provide a baked good for the youth bake sale, please sign up using the Signup Genius link here.

1. Help build a Habitat home at Heartside Hill on Saturday, September 19. This will be a half-day morning build (8:30 - noon), so you'll have the rest of the day to enjoy (and maybe take a nap!). We have 10 volunteer slots available.

2. Not a builder, but want to help? We'll be providing lunch for our volunteers and the rest of the construction crew at noon, so we also need volunteers to provide food (salads, chips, cookies, etc.) and help set up, serve and clean up.

3. Help Fill the ReStore Truck with your donations of used clothing. Bring those clothes you never wear anymore to the church parking lot on Saturday, September 19 between 10 and noon. NEWS FLASH! We've just been informed that Habitat will also accept non-clothing donations, especially wooden furniture like tables, dressers, desks, etc. The ReStore will be closing at the end of the year, so let's help them go out with a bang!

4. Support the youth lemonade stand/bake sale. Our youth will have a lemonade stand/bake sale during the Fill the Truck event; all proceeds go to support the 20226 faith builds. Stop by the church parking lot on Saturday, September 19 for a refreshing lemonade or sweet treat. If you'd like to contribute a baked good, feel free to bring it by 10 am that morning.

5. The two 2026 faith build homebuyers will be joining us during worship and fellowship on Sunday, September 20, including our own Maddy, Coleman, and Violet! This will be a great opportunity to learn more about them, and their journeys to become Habitat homeowners.

6. If you'd like to make a financial contribution to Habitat, we'll have a Giving Tree in the narthex on September 20 and 27. Your donation will go directly to support the 2026 faith builds (HRCC has made a $4000 commitment -- can we double that?). You can also donate electronically anytime by clicking on the Give Via Vanco tab on our website).Questions? Contact Sue Anderson, 970-231-2274, sanderson55@comcast.net.
